Jenny Batchelor - Partner
Jenny gained her Law Degree LLB at Sheffield University and was admitted as a solicitor in 1986. She spent six years working as an assistant solicitor in the Company/ Commercial department at Freshfields, a Magic Circle firm in the City. In 1993 Jenny temporarily put her legal career on hold to look after her two young children and resumed legal practice in 1996 when she joined forces with Robin Myddelton. Jenny has considerable experience in all aspects of Franchise Law, Company and Commercial Law particularly Business Sales and Acquisitions, Dispute Resolution and Employment Law. Jenny spends her leisure time with family and friends and enjoys travelling abroad to foreign lands.
Robin Myddelton - Partner
Robin was admitted as a solicitor in 1970 after serving articles with a small general practice in central London and later became a partner in another firm in Lincoln 's Inn. In 1977 Robin left central London to form a two-partner practice in Potters Bar where he worked for several years. He then took his firm to Hertford in 1983 but returned to Potters Bar in 1994. Robin has been working in partnership with Jenny since 1996 specialising in Company and Commercial Law and Property Law - including both Commercial and Residential Conveyancing. Robin is married and has three grown up children and eight grandchildren. His hobbies and interests include skiing, golf, bridge, classical music and opera.
Oliver Britton - Consultant Solicitor
Oliver has been practising in Hertfordshire since qualifying in 1971. He has handled a wide range of litigation work (crime, personal injury, property and general commercial) and was litigation partner for a large St Albans based firm for many years. He has always handled his own advocacy and his employment work first saw him appearing in the Employment Appeal Tribunal nearly 30 years ago. He commenced his own Employment Law practice nearly 10 years ago and we are delighted that he has joined us (in April 2011) as a Consultant Solicitor. Claire Robinson - Consultant Solicitor
Claire was educated at Manchester University and was admitted as a solicitor in 1984. She served her articles with Wellingborough Council in Northamptonshire and has been working on and off with Robin Myddelton for the past 20 years specialising in residential and commercial property matters (including business tenancies). Claire is married with one daughter and currently works on a part-time basis for Batchelor Myddelton. Claire's interests include wildlife and bird watching.
Amy Leite – Associate Solicitor
Amy was admitted as a solicitor in March 2010 after completing her training contract with Batchelor Myddelton. In 2006 Amy graduated from the University of Essex with a 1st Class LLB Law Degree. She completed her Legal Practice Course on a part time basis whilst working for a FTSE 100 company in their employment law department. During her training Amy worked closely with Jenny Batchelor in all franchise matters, dispute resolution, litigation, employment matters and contentious probate. Now Amy has qualified she will continue to work in these areas.
Christine Evans - Associate Solicitor
Christine was admitted as a solicitor in September 2010 after completing her training contract with Batchelor Myddelton. Christine graduated from Nottingham Law School in 2002. She completed her Legal Practice Course on a part time basis in June 2008 at the College of Law in London. She joined Batchelor Myddelton in 2008 after working for a niche Knightsbridge property law firm for two and a half years. Whilst there one of her highlights included handling a £10 million property transaction. During her training contract Christine worked closely with Robin Myddelton in all types of property work, wills and probate as well as general company and commercial matters. Now that she has qualified she will continue to work in these areas of law.
